GeoAfrika — Every Survey Job Accounted For
A survey-request and CAD-handover tracker for a land-survey team — every job, field capture, drawing and handover accounted for, from the first request to the final delivery.
The situation
Land surveying runs on a chain of handovers — a request comes in, a crew captures in the field, a draughtsperson turns it into CAD, and a deliverable goes back to the client. When that chain lives in email threads and WhatsApp photos, things fall through the cracks: a job nobody picked up, a drawing waiting on one missing measurement, a client who doesn't know where their delivery is. Nobody can see the whole pipeline at once.
What I built
GeoAfrika gives the team one board for the entire lifecycle: survey requests move through field capture to CAD handover to delivery, with a checklist on every job so nothing ships half-done. Field photos and assets attach to the job they belong to and sit in private storage, not a shared camera roll. Row-level security keeps each role seeing exactly what it should, and an activity log means there's always an answer to 'what happened to this job'. It's an unglamorous internal tool — which is exactly the kind that quietly saves a business hours every week.
